I have done the unthinkable
I'm working in fashion again.
I never thought I’d see the day when I would reenter the world of fashion retail. After redefining burnout in 2021, I’ve taken a much needed break from the unnecessary need for more while trying to be everything to everyone.
But here I am, nearly 4 years later, going back to a world I’d sworn I'd never return to. The biggest exception is I’ve found what feels like a 180º from where I was: I have swapped New York skyscrapers and a singular, corporate luxury brand mentality for the mountains and a small, multi brand boutique that carries an amazing curation of designers (both luxury and contemporary).
The biggest win? I get to wear my ACTUAL WARDROBE.

However, in my absence from the fashion-scape, I have kind of forgotten how to dress?
Okay, I’m being a little dramatic. I was still constantly seeking out and absorbing aesthetics from the comfort of the middle of nowhere midwest. But my day to day style had become very relaxed and I hadn’t put on a pair of heels in months.
Fast forwarded to now, finding myself in a somewhat bougie mountain town, I’ve forgotten how to do the things (the things being finding playful combos that already exist in my closet).
So I did what any good, millennial fashion girlie would do: I held a little styling montage and got reacquainted with what “getting dressed” looks like to me now. And how I’m trying to navigate translating Manhattan to mountains.
And now I leave you with some chaotic, sourced inspiration to reflect said transition..

Congrats! Also, love the idea of mountain fashion + you, what a combo!
